Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Under the supervision and direction of the Program Supervisor, provides client orientation services, and chemical health services. Provides assistance to clients for day-to-day care and performs related duties as assigned. Works with clients 18 and older, and their families.

For per diem employees - Must be willing to work at least 3 shifts per month, be available to cover holiday shifts and attend mandatory meetings.

MINIMUM Qualifications:



Education:

High school graduate or GED. Enrollment in an education program that encompasses chemical health AA degree in Human Services preferred

Experience:

1 year of experience working with mental/chemical health population or a social service agency preferred.

Knowledge, Skills

& Abilities:

Must be free of chemical use problems for a period of one year.*

Must have successfully completed a background study in accordance with Minnesota Rule 11

*Rule 31 part 9530.6450, subpart 1, A and B. One year for paraprofessionals and all other staff with direct client contact. The time period begins to run on the date the employee begins receiving treatment services or the date of the last incident.

Driver’s license must be in good standing with a driving record of less than 3 moving violations in the last 5 years and NO major or serious violations within the past 5 years. This status must be maintained for employment.

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured to drive via Regions Hospital standards and policies.

Complete medication management training and obtain CPR, AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire. Must maintain certifications.
